Robert Kennedy's assassination although I have a fleeting memory of JFK's funeral but I'm thinking maybe it's seeing the footage of that day over and over that does it ... but definitely RFK's assassination as my grandma and grandpa didn't have a tv at the time and my uncles and aunts spent several days at our place watching the tv coverage the news was giving that story

The Hubble Telescope was launched into orbit in 1990. I recall dad excited and patiently explaining but all else totally lost on a five-year old.
