Vasictomy

Best Answer

A vasectomy without a doubt. I had one done years ago. It's far less invasive for a man to have this done than a girl having a tubal ligation. However, if you're pregnant, you can ask the doctor to do this after the baby is born.

Here's an important thing to consider that many couples forget. If you split up later on, would one of you want to be able to have kids with a new partner? If one does and the other doesn't, the one who doesn't should have the surgery.

it is better long term to have the vasectomy...down th road tubal ligation could cause poblems for th woman

Well the easiest is not to have sex....but a vasectomy is far safer for the man than tubal ligation is for the woman.

Vasectomy is less invasive (15-20 mins vs. 1-2 hrs) and expensive ($500 to $1,000 vs. $2,000+) than a tubal ligation. The risks are much lower for a vasectomy and recovery time considerably shorter (2-5 days vs. 2-3 weeks). Like any surgical procedure there is pain to deal with, though the relative immediate post operative recovery may be more embarrassing for women (constant burping and passing gas to push out the air used to expand the abdomen during surgery – believe me when I say you will want to be AT HOME when this is happening!) while the gents use a rubber ring to sit on to remove/limit any pressure on the affected area. Go for the vasectomy!
