I grew up in a very Christian home, no one in the history of my family has EVER been divorced- on either side. Everyone has always lived a fairytale life: meeting someone, falling in love getting married having children etc... all very accomplished and blessed lives.
I was a very challenging individual to raise.
I told my dad I was getting a divorce the day before it happened. He said "nobody can say you didn't try". Then I went on to tell him my youngest son (who was 7 at the time) was not my (soon-to-be ex) husband's child. My dad said "well that explains why he's so different!"

I'd say the whole sex talk. Mind you I had my first sexual experience at 12 so I knew most of it already and about safe sex and such....

When I was in college my mother found some letters in my room between myself and "Billie" in which we were discussing what all we wanted to do to one another the next time we had some time alone. So my mom sat me down and did her best to tell em that no matter if I was gay or straight, she still loved me all the same. I sat there all =/ and then explained that Billie was a girl.
