President Reagan promised us nuclear war. I was in high school, so I wasted my life, joined the military in a unit that was sure to take a direct hit.

I have no faith in such things any more. This world goes on and on, getting more angry and anxious; but the hammer never falls.

Not with a bang, but with a whimper will we go out; "It's sooo hot/expensive/inconvenient."

*The day before before starting freshman year*
"I think I'll enjoy high school!"
    *The next day*
    "I hate everything."

The United States' adventures in the Middle East would have triggered a region wide conflict that would have caused oil prices to skyrocket.

Was so psyched for that rapture last year. I was really looking forward to all those religious fanatics to be gone so we could legalize abortion and weed and party hard.

Oh and gay marriage, too. It would've been a giant, awesome drink-smoke-party-hard wedding party, with free contraception!
