One of my favorite movies is called "THX1138". It's George Lucas' first film, and it's about a dystopian future. I just happen to like the movie for many reasons. And THX1138 is already taken, so I had to add the lower case "a".

I'm a bit of a Tolkien nerd (you know, the author who wrote the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit?). I'm such a nerd that for the past 14 months, I've been learning one of his fictitious languages, Sindarin. Sindarin doesn't have any words to describe modern-day things such as cars, so it's a little restrictive.

Now I've been interested in the naturist lifestyle for a while, but I'd never been brave enough to try it out until 12 days ago. I was hiking alone at the local state park near nightfall, about an hour to close. It began raining, so I figured everyone would be leaving soon. I decided it was time.

So I disrobed, and as luck would have it a couple I hadn't heard or seen walked right around the bend. It was very awkward, and I sprinted back down the trail to privacy. At my vehicle, I was about to leave when the rain started pouring. I decided to give it another go. I hiked the entire half-mile trail in the buff in the pouring rain. It was really relaxing and refreshing, and not a soul was in sight.

When I got home, I decided to blog about it so I wouldn't forget the experience. The only problem is that several friends follow my blog, and I didn't want them to read it. So I decided to blog in Sindarin. It took about two hours to type what would've taken fifteen minutes in English, but I finally finished it. I had to coin one word in the process: raphenroch, or "horseless wagon".

So my username is literally "car" in Sindarin, or as close of an approximation as I can work out. For anyone interested, it's rach-pen-roch, but the language blurs sounds together to get raphenroch.
