There's such a great ted talk on this subject!! It's called "Kathryn Schulz: On being wrong."
I willingly admit that I feel worthless when I am wrong. I get suicidal. Logically know that I won't be right all the time, and that ignoring my wrongness prevents be from being right in the future. But I want to be good at something. I want to be right, superior, and great at just one thing. Being wrong casts doubt on my identity as a smart person. And thus, I hate it. But I'm trying to work on that.
