What's wrong with just wanting a girlfriend?
There's a male acquaintance I have that I overheard some female friends talking negatively about the other day. This guy is kind of a flirt, and I'd always thought he was pretty popular with the ladies, but apparently, he isn't. The women were talking about how he just wanted A girlfriend rather than wanting one specific woman to be his girlfriend. They apparently didn't like that.
My question is...what's so bad about that? I honestly want the same thing, but I don't make it obvious like he does (partially out of being judged like he was). Almost everyone gets lonely and just wants to be with somebody, even if they don't have a crush on a specific person. If an attractive woman came up to me and asked me out who was just looking for a man, even though she wasn't seeking me specifically, I'd date her. Why would that be an issue?
