dont think too much about the past, and dont think too much about the future. Take it a day at a time. So much less to consider and think about

To remember time passing is inevitable and the current ordeal from a scientific stand point has no choice other than to dissipate.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God of course :). You don't always need to be positive. Just be real and do what you need to do. It's okay to be sad. Life will always be a cycle of ups and downs. I'm a bit of a personal development junkie, so even through my drug bingeing days and massive financial struggles as a result, I've never really stayed in a dark place for very long. Reading books and attending seminars do help if you're into that kind of thing. Also only associate with uplifting people. I cut my father out of my life because he was just a little bit too much of a downer for me and he was taking me with him. Sorry, kinda rambled. Did that answer your question? :)

find the light hearted humor in the situation. There's always something to laugh at. Or think of similar situation either way better or way worse (depending) that has already ended in success and factor it out, giving specific corresponding values to each factor. ..and always keep in mind that there's no I in team and there's no suck in success. ,,,then team up and don't suck.

"Never stop smiling, not even when you,re sad. Some one might fall in love with your smile"
this is what Gabriel Garcia Marquez once said..
I believe being sad is a sign of negativity, and smiling is a real confrontation to the challenge, it eludes the feeling of defeats and helps me notice others who are looking out for me.

I always remind myself that someone in this psychotically insane world is going through a predicament/crisis worse than I am or probably worse, or possibly the latter of being homeless, deceased, abandoned, etc. It regulates my situation to an insignificance in comparison to the other possible disasters.
