Okay ... don't laugh!
My bedroom fantasy is:
A large room with a king-size bed in it. The mattress is the most comfortable imaginable! It has crisp white linens with lace edging and a white down comforter on top. The pillows are thick and plush, also covered in matching crisp white linen. There is no bright, harsh light on the ceiling or from lamps. The bed has a canopy of thin white material draped graciously overhead. There is only dim lighting added for effect and convenience ... perfectly placed, of course.
There is a CD/MP3 player playing soothing piano music at a low level, loud enough to hear, but not so loud as to disturb a pleasant conversation.
There are 2 french doors near the bed which open onto a deck which overlooks a quiet countryside. The doors are open and a refreshing warm breeze wafts in through the sheer curtains ... the delicate scent of flowers from the garden filling the room.
Outside, it's dark and the house is remote. There is no light-pollution to distract you from the magnificent starlit night. There is a small table and 2 comfortable chairs (for morning coffee) out there, and you sit in the dark warm night for a few moments before retiring to bed, sipping ice water with a little wedge of lemon while you listen to the faint music playing and gaze at the huge display of stars and watch the fireflies dance over the lawn.
After the stress of the day has left you and you are relaxed and sleepy, you return to the room, closing only the screen behind you. A hot relaxing shower is next before climbing into the huge, comfortable bed. The cat is purring on the pillow beside you and the dog is curled up at your feet. You read a chapter or two in a good novel before turning the lights out to snuggle up in the warmth of the bed. The music plays softly for 2 hours while you drift off to sleep.
You wake in the morning refreshed and full of energy and enthusiasm.
