Thriller, of course. Younger years and lots of fun.

Thriller is my favorite. It reminds me of life back then and Michael's life. He was so inspirational. I always thought he was a very special person. I loved his ways and his look.

There are too many to choose from. Two of my favorites are "We Are the World" and "Thriller". He was such a kind, caring person and he will be sorely missed. Never did believe he could ever hurt a child. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon. May he rest in peace.

9th grade.I was attending a new high school for the first time and didn't know anyone. I tried so hard to fit in and it seems like everything I tried to do turned out all wrong. This was a very tough place for a 13 year old to find a comfortable niche because the wealthy kids had a clique as did the dopers, the preps, the blacks, the country kids, the smart in class kids, and so on. I wanted to be accepted for who I was but the kids can be awfully cold and cruel to an outsider. I used to hate the place after a while because of all the crap I had to put up with. The numbers were always on the side of whichever group that wanted to humiliate and provoke me so I spent most of the year alone.I heard a Jackson five song played on the radio that really hit home for me.It was the first time I had ever really listened to a song for meaning. The song was called "Corner Of The Sky" and the verse that caught my attention was this chorus. "Rivers belong where they can ramble. Eagles belong where they can fly, I've got to be where my spirit can run free, I've got to find my corner of the sky"
When I heard that Michael was gone that old song that I hadn't heard or listened to for many many years began playing in my memory. I couldn't help but feel a little sick inside because he was gone and part of me died along with him.I still can't believe it.

The entire Thriller album, and most of Bad, as well. Was swept off my feet by his videos, too. 'Beat It' was one of the first music videos I ever saw, and they only got better after that.

I have many favorites! I guess Thriller was one of the defining records of my childhood, as I am sure it is for many others- one of my faves from that is P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing). Also love "Never Can Say goodbye", "Ben" plus every other song from Thriller.

Man I am so sad that he is gone! But I remember dancing around in my living room to Thriller with my best friend who lived next door. I don't have the album anymore, but I know that it was pretty worn from being played so much :)

RIP MJ, I hope that you are finally at peace and thank you for all of the wonderful music you gave us.

I was sad when I heard the news. I was working that day. I remember when I had 3 of his cassettes: I would lay down at night and just fall asleep to his music. My family didn't have much money and I found a good escape through his lyrics. I spent countless hours listening to his songs. Songs like Man In the Mirror are SO INSPIRING, and The Way You Make Me Feel just brought me out of my depressed moods in a snap. Actually...I was explaining to my daughter who he was in the car; our station played The Way You Make Me Feel right then. She started claping her hands to the beat and said " I'm likin' this!" with a big smile...I started to cry. I held back of course so my daugher couldn't see, but I still had tears streaming down my face--because that's how GOOD his music makes people feel. It gets to the soul. Michael was ahead of his time. You can tell through his music and life--he knew there were people out there who felt alone or needed something to always be there, to encourage. He did that through his music and that's why his career stood the test of time. I don't care what they said about him; I think money changes people and some people will lie cheat and steal to get ahold of millions of dollars--let's be realistic people. Only God knows that truth and even so...Michaels music has nothing to do with the gossip...it stands strong on its own.

"I'll Be There" Each time I heard it I felt that there was someone I would have to tell that to. Not right then, but someday. And just the other day I knew it would be soon.

I have so many favorite songs and they pretty much were part of the soundtrack of my life. I grew up in the 70s and 80s so I'm most fond of the earlier music.

I love all of his music but the 2 that bring back the fondest memories are Thriller and Billie Jean. My brother absolutely loved him when we were kids. He would change the channel to MTV and anytime Thriller would come on, my brother would start dancing like Michael Jackson in that video. And now as adults when my brother and I end up at the clubs with our group of friends and they play Billie Jean we have a dance off. But we usually get so caught up in the song we make big jokes of ourselves instead of dancing very well. When I found out today Michael Jackson had died it made my whole day gloomy. He was suppose to be the man that would never die! Anybody that grew up in the 80's knows why.... He will be missed....

"I'll be there" and "Ben" are probably my most memorable songs from Michael. I remember when they came out qnd they grew up with me. I do want to mention that "We are the World" was amazing and lots of people actually forget about his part in that as well. He seemed to fit in every era of music. That makes him the icon he is.
