My first thought is ... deal with one day, and one thing at a time. Sending you love and hugs and strength to help just a little bit tho meanwhile ...
Sorry to hear you are suffering. Please remember you are a beautiful soul, take it minute by minute and hang on in there. Wishing you peaceful times soon.
It is an excellent prayer, sometimes the peace to get through a trial is the toughest thing but when Jesus says "my peace I give you, my peace i leave with you", it is not just peace it is "shalom", which is peace, wholeness, well being and so much more.
I think of that song Serenity by Godsmack :)

First thought was dang! Another fellow sufferer :o(
Acceptance can be really tough sometimes. It is not resignation, but coming to a peace despite circumstances or emotions due to a deep and abiding trust that God has his reasons, and I don't have to figure it out, but just trust Him to work it out. Not easy to do, but it works when I do it.
To me it means asking for the peace to take just one more step forward.
"to accept" that was the first thing that popped into my mind and generally the toughest thing for me to do. I am sorry you are going through such a difficult time.
I think that serenity is returning to your mind.
I used to get into sufferings due to my own faults
or due to undesirable happenings in the surrounding,
Once, I remember God and pray for guidance and
protection, I immediately find peace. Remembrance
of Him reminds me of His education concerning
the blessings He bestows on all mankind from
time immemorial. His divine promise is that
nothing can occur to His servants except that which
is profitable for them.
In order not to get too far from this precious remembrance,
I commit to my heart a number of prayers, I pray many times
during the days I read the sacred verses and meditate on their
meanings, I translate them into action and other language.
Therefore, the condition of my mind is usually in peace.
Hard times are good because it makes us focus on important stuff and moreover it doesn't last forever and everyone goes through hard times.
