What's your honest opinion of those who seek to score political points through times of tragedy?

Me personally...

I think those who do such things are the lowest & most pettiest forms of life on this planet.

A certain candidate who is running for President showed recently just how far they'll go in an effort to improve their poll numbers. No sense of decency. No respect for the deceased & their grieving families. Just ill timed condemnation without facts to back up his claims.

This incident really showed this candidate's character...or lack there of.

The same way Obama jumped on the Gay wagon when it came round, and openly declared his approval. Why didn't he do that before, if it was so important to him? It was the most obvious attempt at point scoring I've ever seen.

By the way, no matter what President Obama did, people like you would have criticized him regardless. We live in a climate that's full of jaded types. Jaded types with UBER cynical souls.

Self serving opportunists. I don't hold it against them, because if they do nothing, then their opponents use that to point out how heartless and unconcerned they are for NOT saying or doing something.

I just note that they are willing to use someone's tragedy to their benefit, and recognize that it would be no different if I was the victim of the tragedy-- thus, understand where I ultimately stand in their mental mindset-- a prop to use for a photo-op if convenient.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I hope his actions come back to bite him.

The media benefits most from bad news. Politicians thrive on it as well. Both groups are bottom-feeders. Almost without exception, politicians & media types ultimately will do (or not do) what they think will help themselves most. That is the nature of the beast. That is what makes them who they are.
