Resolved Question

What's your opinion on prostitution?

Personally I believe if someone wants to sell their body for $$$ than that's their business. I would never do it, because I would find it demeaning to let strangers have sex with me.

Who owns your body....you or the government? Prostitution should be legal. The fact that it is illegal in most places keeps the women in the shadows and in danger. Prohibition of alcohol, drugs, prostitiution, etc. creates a black market that empowers the criminals and endangers society.

If there were a safe and regulated way to handle it, I wouldn't mind.

Prostitution breeds violence against women and children. Although it is the worlds oldest profession, it still breeds violence.

Plain and simple.

It serves a purpose, for those who need the release and can't get it any other way. I have no issue with it other than the girls who work need to be protected from attack and weirdos more than they are.

Actually me and my EP bro were just talking about this yesterday....

I think that if they can regulate and tax it..why not? I mean it happens all the time anyway right? Then perhaps this country would have some money in the bank..and our taxes wouldn't go to prostitutes jail time.

Now I'm not saying I agree with it...but some people truly have no other way to take care of their families.

There is aplace for prostition ,as if they didn`t exist there would be more rapes and attacks on women, Yes there is the drug side of it but that is same with clubs, pubs etc, As for the women that do it ,well that is their choice ,but the amount that get bashed or hurt is very high.
No need to look down on prostition or the women that work it.

I think if they choose to do so after a certain age, say 18 + it would be okay. Unfortunately however, I think many tend to start in early teens for dire reasons such as drug abuse , homelessness or some combination of these and possibly other factors until they're so caught up in the lifestyle they eventually don't see regular work with it's minimal pay as a being a good option.

I think that with regulation it could be a lagitamate business. who are we to say that someone who is willing to sell sex is wrong for doing it? I mean if *********** is lagit then why are we so hard on prostitution... **** actors are just the same they have sex for money... would prostitution be okay if we caught it on tape?

I think if it were leagel you could tax it.it's gonna go on anyway isin't it,it's like trying to stop the people who want to use drugs, its gonna happen anyway,at least legal these thing's could be taxed.but i don't think that will happen anytime soon, lets just pretend this doesn't go on.

It is one of the world´s oldest professions and one of the saddest ones, too.

Prostitution IS the world's oldest profession and it's NOT going away. SO, I also feel that, like the in state of Nevada, it should be regulated.
The other day, going into the city, there's an area where the prossies work. A police car went straight past the girls,(one in a sequined, purple evening dress at 7am), and pulled over a car in front of me to give them a ticket *L*
The violence, drug use, AIDS and other diseases associated with street prostitution would go down (no pun intended) with regulation.

It exploits men in the same way as legalized drug use would exploit drug users. It will destroy marriages by removing yet another barrier. I WILL (and does where it is legal) exploit young girls. No doubt about it.

I think who you sleep with and why should be your business. Whether it was for love, lust, or because they bought you an expensive dinner or handed you some cold hard cash - it's your call.

If you are an adult and want to sell sex to someone and someone is willing to buy it, then those individuals are the only ones that need to be involved in that transaction...IMO
