When are the Brits going to start executing these clowns instead of imprisoning them? All prison does is give them...

... is give them plenty of time and resources to plot more successfully.

Another reason why, if the USA should splinter, I hope you will let me across the border and into the Republic.

So let me get this right--murder is against the law. BUT, if you murder someone, then the state puts you to death. Hmmmmm, now that is some good thinking right there.

In countries that are not proponents of the death penalty as "punishment" for criminal behaviour, we tend to view this as an outdated and archaic method to address criminality. The death penalty is certainly no deterrent in reducing crime rates as evidenced by statistics in the US. By far, it is a greater "punishment" to spend the rest of one's life incarcerated and lose one's freedom than to be put to death. Furthermore, in countries that are not proponents of the death penalty (and yes I will go as far as to say "civilized countries") there is less of a focus on "punishment" and more on rehabilitation.

You are correct. I see execution as more humane as well.

We used to execute people for all sorts of things in medieval times but now are justice system is more civilised. I guess it just takes more than a couple of hundred years to create a culture.
