    If you're driving, and you're supposed to turn right, but you turned left instead -which was wrong - so then you turn left again, and one more time, and then there you are! Back at right.

    No, you'd have to turn left 2 more times (and the additional turns would not be wrong, as they'd be a correction for the initial incorrect turn). 2 wrongs don't make a right, but 3 lefts do make a right.
