It's ridiculous the stuff they focus on. An 82 year old is racist... big deal

Like how did the Ukraine crisis go unoticed to most people until recently. It had been simmering for ages.
The issue is that we are more interested in Kim kardashins *** then things that matter.

It didn't.
The difference is that the quality of journalism has taken a dive. Instead of working and reporting the real news, they take the lazy track and throw out some sensational garbage that they think we want to see. I for one don't.

I sit and talk to the TV news, asking why they are so bad. They invite guests on and then don't ask the sensible questions, they don't follow up on silly answers. They allow politicians to avoid a question and deliver a mini party political broadcast. Other journalists delude themselves by thinking that they are hard hitting a powers to be reckoned with - but they are not. They are still stupid sensationalists, looking for dirt but being rude with it and displaying to discerning viewers how stupid they really are.

No - the news is out there but TV, newspapers, radio and magazines insist on delivering rubbish.

In the UK we had floods in the south west. All newspapers and TV channels spent thousands getting "live" pictures of reporters standing up to their knees in flood water and showing flooded fields behind them. They didn't have any news. They couldn't say how deep it was, how many acres were flooded, when it would recede. None of them thought to looking deeper and asking where the livestock from those flooded fields had gone, how they were being fed, what was happening to crops in the fields. Worse - after a month of looking at yet another stupid reporter standing in a puddle and not actually delivering anything like news, they got bored with it. Since the floods recede none of them have gone back. None of them have reported on damage left behind, pollution from flooded garages and factories, relocation of livestock, what is happening to crops in the fields (will there be any vegetable or corn shortages this year), what happened to the wildlife in those areas, etc etc etc. A lot of legitimate "news", but not cheap and sensational enough for those so called journalists - they have all moved on and are queuing up outside a house where there was a murder or some such. Still no news, still just voyeurism and easy "stories".

Get rid of the reporters, directors, producers, editors etc - all of them who don't produce news now, and bring in somebody who can actually print and broadcast real news.

PS - if they have not got the message I DONT CARE WHAT SOME SILLY NO TALENT CELEBRITY IS DOING - SHOW US THE REAL NEWS

... not that it bothers me that much - honest

Did you see that cat that saved the kid from the dog? That was news worthy. Seriously! That was so amazing!

Best Answer

Yeah that was. My cat did that once for my baby brother

Best Answer

Since majority of people pay to much attention to it.

Best Answer

They only report on what people want to see and read. Crap sells.....

Best Answer

I know, right. Even the serious stories they focus on non-essential details. A family of four were killed in their house and the news for some reason keeps talking about how much the house cost and what celebrity used to own it. Like wtf?

Yeah s messed up
