The time is right when you fell ready accept the responsibility of having a child. No contraception method is 100 percent safe. The chances are, that a pregnancy could result from you loosing your virginity. You need to be of the legal age, emotionally and financially stable, have a loving responsible partner and have a good knowledge of the following parenting skills: first aid, child care, food and nutrition, logistics, communication and education skills, etc. The alternative to having a child is to abort it, which is both physically and emotionally damaging. There is also a risk of getting a disease, and as some diseases have no symptoms, it is wise to get yourself tested regularly once you have lost your virginity. Physical relationships are for those who are responsible adults. Are you a responsible adult? If not, then wait until you are.

Once you are out of High School, you will be ready when you want to and when you think you are ready.

I say "once you are out of high school" because I find it a bit sad when someone loses their virginity before they're 17. I mean yeesh, you're still in school, there's so much social BS you have to deal with from just about every source under the sun, and you aren't even old enough to get your Driver's License or vote yet, why would you want to add teenage pregnancy and STDs to the list of things that you have to be legitimately worried about? Lord knows life is screwed up enough as it is at that age without, well, adding screwing to your to do list.

Not to mention, when you look back at yourself, your life, do you really want to say "I lost my virginity when I was 15"? I can pretty much guarantee that would not be something you'd be proud to admit.

Give yourself time. Stop worrying about it. Learn to say no and not worry so much about what other people think you should do or when they think you should do it. If he loves you, he will wait for you. Don't ever allow yourself be bullied into something you don't want to do. It is not and will never worth it, and you'll feel like **** afterwards, and you'll feel that way for a very, very long time.

Sex, even amazing mind-blowing sex, is not worth sacrificing your safety, your integrity, or your self-respect for. It can and should be great fun and feel wonderful, but if you are with the wrong person or make yourself do it when you're not ready to it can be frightening, painful, humiliating, and even dangerous. If you are at all hesitant about it, don't do it. (I say "hesitant", meaning "I just don't know" or "I'm not comfortable with this" or "I just don't think I want to." I didn't say nervous or a little scared. That's normal, so long as the scared is "I hope I do okay" and "Ah! Sex! Never done this before, so that makes me intimidated" rather than "I'm scared he'll leave me if I don't" or "I'm scared he'll force me if I say no". There's a big difference between the good kind of scared and the bad kind of scared.)

I promise hands down that it's best when you do it with someone you trust and deeply care for, and when you are able to do it without the worry of pregnancy or disease. Knowing that, why in the world make yourself settle for anything less than the best? Some things are worth waiting for. I think sex is one of them. I'm not religious or anything like that, and I don't have a problem with sex before marriage. I have never been married and I am no longer a virgin, but I waited until I was ready to do it because I wanted to. It was right for me. I'm very glad that I did and I had a wonderful first experience, something which very few people can claim.

And for goodness sake, use a condom! A pvc one if you can't use latex, but never, ever have sex with a guy who tries to talk, guilt, bully, or trick you into not using one. That's a bad, bad scene in so many ways.
