My friend used it to great results, it took about 2 months for there to be obvious change. But her skin looks amazing now, I know different people have different results, but it was wonderful for her.

Accutane works from the inside out, so it takes some time. Fortunately, it DOES work. Have patience. For a little while, it might seem to get worse before it gets better. This is because, like I said, it works from the inside out. Zits that were already "under construction" deep in your skin before you started the medicine will start coming out - all faster now because the Accutane is pushing them out, so to speak. Don't panic, it's doing what it's supposed to, exorcising the zits from your body!

A few months into your treatment, you might think you're cured. Don't stop taking Accutane until the doctor says so. You have to do the complete cycle (usually @ 5 months) to completely get them out of the body.

Accutane can have some side effects, like really really dry itchy skin and cracked lips. This is normal. Use moisturizer and lip balm. Hang in there

Be careful with that stuff. My sister got pregnant while on accutane and it was a horrible experience for her. Long story short, terrible details left out, she lost the baby in the end.

I both am an esthetician, and have been on accutane, so I'm very familiar with it. I was put on it by my family doc when I was about 15, and had to also be put on birth control because it's strong enough to be fatal to an unborn baby. I had been put on face creams before accutane, and nothing seemed to work, so thats when I decided to turn to this. It worked great for me. My skin was cleared up within 1-2 months after I started taking it. But you should also read up on the side effects of accutane. My skin was extremely sensitive and my nails were brittle. Also, my hair thinned out a little. It works differently for everyone though, so be patient with it.
