I'll go fishing and there will always be somebody next to me catching a bunch of fish, while I catch nothing. Usually they're Asian, what's their trick?

    Maybe they put bait on their hook?

    Not that sushi bar owner! He shook the fish off his line into the bucket and immediately recast. I watched him pull in 40 fish, easy, before I got bored. He never once baited any of those 12 hooks! *shaka*

    you can use grubs they are tiny lures that can catch big fish like smallmouth bass and they work just as well with large mouth - it really depends on what you are fishing for but some days you win and some days you lose

    You and the fish must both be there at the same time... the fish must be feeding, and you must present bait in such a way that the fish will think it is food.... Asian-ness is not a factor.

    I don't know. I saw a sushi bar owner hauling in 6 at a time on a line with 12 hooks and no bait. They guy next to him: NOTHING. Magic?
