I know what you mean. I start to exclude myself and don't want to take up too much space in the group dynamic. I get really self-pitying and needy. I don't feel entitled to participate.
I'm working on some Thought Records (a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy technique) to challenge my thoughts about myself. I work with a therapist and a group to try and change this reaction.
Also, I'm trying to put myself out in the world a bit more, and react differently when I'm in a group.
only go where you're appreciated . friends should not have to say anything....silence is golden. smile
