When I was a kid I couldn't wait to be an adult so people would stop telling me how to live my life. Why won't they?

It is always easier to run sombody else's life, that it to run their own.

some do it as a form of advice or help
some do it because they always seem to act like a parent / grandparent

That's just a fantasy you have when you are younger, you know, the whole "Grass is greener" thing. Truth is, it never stops.

I couldn't help but chuckle at this one. I am 45, married, a mother of two teenagers, college educated, and been out of my childhood home since I was 19. I find that I still can't share everything with my parents because it is met with, " --- ----, why would you want to do that?" Then there is my husband..... he likes to tell me when my bedtime is. Ugh.
