    Oh yes, they are alive and stealing! They abound at major railway stations over here, 30p a throw when I last looked.
    Like a lot of males, I have a very (and I mean VERY) strong aversion to paying for the privilege of exercising a bodily function. I haven't used one in the UK for many years, preferring to wait until I can use a free one. I have used them in Paris, where its less if you only want to use the 'pissoir'.
    When I was in Bergen, Norway, in June I noticed that there were very few free toilets available but the council had a nice modern 'pay-per-view' toilet block put up near the Market. Up theirs, I thought, I'll wait until I am back on the boat!
