When is deep too deep?

when i won't stop in a few minutes it's too deep. and please people...talking is getting help in a way. i cut and talking about it really helps. put downs aren't doing her any good. it's an addiction. smokers? you what an addiction is right?

I agree, luckypickle, talking is getting help in a way...but at the same time - cutting is a scary and wrong thing.
My best friend was a cutter, and I was terrified every time she'd call me and say she needed help, because she was bleeding everywhere and didn't know if she had gone too far.
When I quit smoking cold turkey, the forum I posted on had this stupid little acronym: "Nope" for Not One Puff Ever. Because if you never smoke, you're not a smoker. If you never cut, it's never too deep.
Smoking or cutting or any other addiction can be a scary thing...I hope you both can find a less harmful way to release.

I never did it terribly deep, thankfully. Please, honey, don't be stupid about it. If you accidentally get a vein, there's no telling what could happen. I understand the addiction, I do. And I'm not going to say "Cutting is just wrong and you need to stop. It's stupid and you're going to hell. Etc etc etc." I understand it. But please, be careful....
