want my attention, "mom" this and "mom" that. One day I barely kept myself from impatiently screaming "WHAT!" I slowed down and went close to him and quietly said "what, honey?" and he said, "I love you mom" and I realized I almost blew it. Has that kind of thing ever happened to you?

You'll have to keep being patient. He's just a child, and children require a lot of patience! I have a five year old niece who won't leave me alone sometimes!

You jsut have to grin and bear it. Maybe just tell him to go and play, or turn on the tv?
