When people say their relationship status is "complicated" what do they really mean? Give examples...share your thoughts

Well an example might be a relationship like mine where we are in transition. My boyfriend and I are both married to other people but in the process of divorces. So we arent single cause we are together, We wouldnt put married because we are both in the middle of getting divorces and not married to each other yet. We cant say divorced because we arent finished the process yet. So it is complicated because none of the traditional choices apply. I personally would prefer to say In a relationship than Its complicated but sometimes that choice isnt available.

Of course they are in a situation that they find cannot be explained as "normal". They do not realise that complicated lives is the norm these days.

It's where the dude wants to bang the chick, but doesn't want a relationship. So the woman is confused.

Usually means it's in trouble and they are blaming the other person for it.

They have someone they are attached to, but they are not sure of the relation itself. Its just a weak way of saying I am with someone but I am not closed to other options.

I'd take that to mean that they are with a PITA.

Normally it means one or the other of the people in that relationship are involved with someone else,or that the lover lives in another continent or both !!!
