    I might ask them to clarify once or twice, but if it's something that really doesn't matter, I let it go. If it's something to do with work, getting something done, or anything else important, I'll figure out a way to understand.

    I just follow their reaction to their statement then pretend that something else caught my attention and try to pay better attention next time. For the most part it works, either they think I got it or they think I'm an idiot.
