    yes it does, it is your feet way of showing you they need protection from a hard surface.

    Yes, the more you walk barefoot the thicker the skin on your sole gets. I've read stories about Sherpas in the Himalayas going barefoot so much that if the sole of their foot cracked they could just sew the crack back together without feeling it.

    You can develop callouses as thick or thicker than those karate experts who develop them on their knuckles from years of practicing

    FINALLY!! Another kindred soul,sorry others but this is something everyone has been getting on me about since i learned to walk,i hace a tough foot too, have walked on ice in canada,mud in mississippi, just a nature child..
