When watching a horror movie or suspense, do you find it annoying when they dont reveal all the details of the monster?

do you do your own research on the villain of the film, for example I once did research on the monster from that film, i cant remember the name of it, but its kinda like a godzilla, but its from outer space which crash landed in the sea off of new york?

I saw alien at a picture house but when I saw it on tv a few years later my now late mother said, ' Its all dark and miserable and you can't see a thing'
I was sick of her saying that everytime it came on

I find it annoying when they create a lot of suspense and the monster isn't that scary..

Absolutely. One has to assume they didn't have the imagination to make it so it could appear. Works great in books. Movies? NO.

I just assume they are incompetent but there are certainly some movies I have looked for explanations to. Just not horror.

No. Not at all. My imagination provides the missing parts quite well.

but do you trust your imagination as facts? or would u rather have it canonical with the film?

The FACTS aren't. They are imaginary creatures. I trust my imagination to fill in the details that the other imaginer left out. What FACTS? We aren't talking about tigers or elephants here, we are talking about imaginary things. I go to movies to be entertained, not to pick the film apart, and find fault with the way it is done. (well, except for Cloverfield; that was the worst movie ever...ugh)
