When would you take someone back?

Would you take someone back, when they cheated on you 1,2,3,4 times? Would you take someone back, when they lied to you? What are reasons for you, to take someone back!

I agree with the person who said they would NEVER take back someone who had cheated and lied to them. I certainly wouldn't now, although I have in the past because of emotional weakness and fear of being on my own.

Once one of a couple goes as far as packing their bags and leaving, or breaking up, you might as well forget about ever being able to trust that person again, or if you are the one leaving, if it got so bad that you not only wanted to leave but actually made a move to, don't ever go back. The bond has been broken. I don't believe you could ever go back to how it was before that happened.

If they were genuinely sorry and making an effort to change. If they were not repeating old mistakes. I'd be more forgiving of someone making different mistakes than the same one over and over. The thing that is worst of all, worse than cheating, is LYING. I would take them back only if I thought they were worth taking back. But I guarantee that on the second chance, they can't make a mistake as bad as the first time--if they do make one, it has to be half as bad or less!! I give a second chance, but will never give a 3rd(unless you are reeeally worth it), 4th, 5th chance. I think that you have to teach them and explain to them why what they did is wrong. If they don't learn, don't improve, then they don't want to learn and have no respect and so kick them to the curb before their next blink. Don't put up with anyone who won't even make an effort. Some men are children in big shoes, they don't know what marriage is. They need to learn they aint livin with their mommy and they need to learn how to be a husband. With THAT kind of behavior, i doubt they could even keep a girlfriend. Talk about regression.

if you love them so much you would rather them hurt you but be with you, rather them lose them alltogether.

I'm currently in that situation. I've been off and on with someone for quite a long time and we haven't seen each other in years but deciding to give it a shot once again. My heart is aching and being pulled in 2 directions. I think there comes a point when you know that this will surely be the last chance you give them. Also when you realize that yo love them a lot but you love yourself more to make a clean break if **** should hit the fan once again.
