Camping is not camping if you have to have a rollin hunk a tin to sleep in and complete anemities...That's a hotel stay. :D The only way I go camping is with a plain tent, and basic necessities.

Roughed it one time, that's all it took. It's better to be very basic at a campground.

Yes, you can camp in a hotel. I know a very nice abandoned hotel on the coast if you'd like to come and stay for a bit.
I always "rough it" I only take my own weight or less in equipment, strapped to all different parts of my bicycle, and (up to) a tenner (ten pound note) to buy milk powder and oats, and in case of emergencies. Then it's off around the countryside or coastline for as long as the summer lasts! :)

I usually forget most of the practical things, but my camping mates usually bring the sink.

Camping? I don't think I understand the question... Is that like staying in a hotel room without a spa bath?

I usually took a bowl rather than the kitchen sink; but I do tend to pack in essential things without making it too cumbersome. Nowadays I don't go camping - sold all my equipment to keep myself afloat financially.

I have never been very keen on camping; the last three times were to nudist resorts - no laundry requirements!

it depends on who im going with... if im going with someone who can't handle "roughing it" (like small kids or my princess of a cousin katie) then we go in a camper but if not then i rough it

Not that I'm a big fan of camping, but if I were to go, I'd pack light, because carrying all that stuff, packing it, and unpacking it is a lot of work.

Rough it. I don't see a point in camping if you are not really going to camp!

Roughing it. No fire. No cooking. No companions.

I rough it, but I adhere to the scout's motto "be prepared." I pack practical small things in my backpack that I never use but WOULD if someone were bitten by a snake and wasp simultaneously...or severed an artery...none of which has ever happened while camping! Thankfully... :)
