Small group. I find that it is really hard to keep in touch with a lot of people. But I find that the less intense relationships are more numerous, and for some reason, they are easier to maintain. In other words, if I lose touch with a fairly close friend, then odds are that the relationship is over. But there are a lot of lighter relationships that have remained for a long time. I suppose that's because it takes a bit of distance or whatever to bring an end to a deeper relationship, while shallower ones require less maintenance. Kind of ironic, if you think about it.
