How I usually do it is by continuing to obsess over how much I hate myself and what a terrible person I am. This is obviously not a very pragmatic approach to addressing the problem. I usually end up feeling worse as a result. I do have periods where I feel better, but I'm honestly not sure just what causes my mind to change. I guess maybe exercise and binge eating are the lone tricks currently up my sleeve, but even they don't always work.

Examine why I am feeling sad and sit in it for a bit...learn from it, heal it. I used to do everything to distract myself and sometimes that is necessary. But now I try to feel it, understand it and clear...music helps a lot!!!
