Where did you find your Athame?

I'm in the market for a new one. But can't seem to find any that really draw me in. Any ideas?

An Athame is a ritual dagger btw.

I haven't found mine yet (or rather, it hasn't found me). Be patient, and just keep looking.

I found it in a store that sold mainly swords and daggers and some other things similar to what is in waterbeds and stuff in my city but then it closed a couple months after I bought it. It was in one of the glass cases and it was one of the less expensive ones. I liked the size of it, not too big not too small, and it wasn't too intricate or elaborate...I felt that my first one should be basic. I still use it! It is black handle and double-edged blade which was easy to find in that store. It is stainless steel blade, black leather handle with v pattern, and celtic loops on the part between handle and blade. I carved a pentagram on the bottom with a safety pin since the metal in the handle was silver but not stainless steel and easy to scratch. I would get a more elaborate one to show my years of practice but I'm just too attached to it!!!

E-Bay....it's gold with a stag on it. I need a silver one now to balance out.

a friend found it on the beach :)

TrgdyAnn - an Athame is knife commonly used in the wiccan faith (no not for blood sacrafices) as a symbolic tool - also very good at scratching off wax from alters. . .

some pagan faiths (ie mine) other than wicca use Athame's as well.
