Everywhere, my dad had a traveling job so we took a tralier with all six kids...and it was hell....sleeping on the side of the road never knowing what real friends are like and having to be homeschooled. You have no idea what kind of hell that is like with a mother who hates to be touched and grouchy dad...always getting car sick, moving back and fourth...
I grew up in a small suburban community, right off of a lake. We would give cookies and send cards to neighbors, we as kids would play with the neighbor kids. Right down the street was a convenience store owned by own of our neighbors, everyone always did business there, as much as they could (it's still doing well, I visit sometimes and grab a cup of coffee, say hi to the workers who have been there since I was little).
Las Vegas Nevada, counted as top 10 dumbest states and cities in a census once.
Glasgow & Edinburgh with a side order of Bath. It gave me an identity crisis.
Kentucky and it had lots of trees and flowers.
I grew up in Northern California.....it was awesome......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sacramento, California in the 50s and 60s and wrote about it in my novel.
