I was going to check my emails and there it was; first it said; he was rushed to the hospital and is in a comma and few minutes; after; he said he was dead; I was very shocked and sad; Michael Jackson was a legend and I thought he will live a long time. it's hart to see the world without michael Jackson. I will have his music to listen to.

My dad was reading the news on the internet and he said that Farrah Fawcett died then he saw that Michael Jackson had a heart attack. I said (in jest) "Why is everyone dying today?" and he pointed out that Micheal didn't die yet. Later that day I was playing a video game with my sister and Dad called from work to tell me the news. He'll be missed...

I was on Twitter, watching the news filtering through. I heard the rumours first, then gradually heard reports of news stations confirming it. Finally believed it when the BBC called it, which I heard through @MitchBenn
Twitter is truly amazing

I had just come home from work and checking entertainment news on Yahoo! and as I was trying to click on the article that said he'd been taken to the hospital when it was suddenly replaced by "Michael Jackson reportedly died". I thought it was a joke. I was a fan. Still am. His music will live on.

I was just wondering why anyone would celebrate anything a ********* does. He was sick, but his "fans" are sicker.

I had been on vacation in a PA state park without any internet access or cell phone coverage (or twitter haha). Driving home on the friday that followed the day of MJ's death, I turned on the radio and heard "...and that was a tribute to Michael Jackson". I was like, "what? is it his birthday?"
Then I switched to another station and I heard a snippet of an interview where this guy was like, "...Michael Jackson was one of the best musicians I ever worked with. We're all going to miss him."
And then I was like " :( "
Then a Phil Collins song came on and I turned off the radio for the rest of the three hour trip home.

I was playing an line game at the time when I heard it on the news. Broke my heart. He was way too young. But it does seem that all the great ones go too young. I know I'm going to miss him and hearing about his new songs. I just love to watch him dance! He's in the eather now, doing the moonwalk for the crowds. Namaste.
