Which are better: clay pots or plastic ones? Why?

I think clay.....>You they do take a bit more watering.....But just a bit.....They keep the roots a bit cooler is that is what the plant needs this is a good thing....But I love the way old pots look like after they have been used for a few years....It gives them a great look....ANd the oither thing if your sold has salts in it...Well the clay is able to leach out the salts...ANd plastic does not

Iusedto	Posted Feb 21st, 2009 at 3:05AM Singer is right, the clay pots will keep the roots cooler because the clay is slightly porous and will have a little bit of evaporation taking place all the time. I have found that my pets prefer to drink out of the shallow clay pots that go under clay pots to catch excess water. I would place their water in one of those and plastic bowl and they always would drink from the clay container. Rated: +2Vote for this!
