    Love without caring isn't love, because true love is selfless. You gotta care about them.

    You can care about someone without loving them romantically, but I guess you have to "love" them on some level to care about them. Really you can't have one without the other, either way.

    I am not sure that love can be independent of care. Care can happen without love. The level of importance depends on circumstances. I.e. if you're elderly or requiring care, love takes a back seat to your needs.
