I think then both have things that make it difficult for the parent. IT depends on the environment they grew up in, the emotions that stir and hormones. Truth be told its about listening and understanding why they did what they did and asking them to think about what they did. There not bad kids if they can tell you right from wrong. Spend some quality time with them, if they don't want to ask them what they would like to do. IF they don't respect you that means there not ready to talk. Discipline is a way for the parent to know that it's not right but if the kid doesn't have direction or explanation it tends to flare up. If your the parents don't criticize your child for being bad, just be patient, calm, and show them they can rely on you to be someone who can model good behavior... thats all i got right now!

Probably a girl cause they want to ha e fun, hang out with their friends, go to parties, and they think that just because they are a teen, they can do whatever they want
