I majored in history and loved it, but its a useless degree. Oil companies look for geologists to help them find and extract oil, but you will need at least a masters degree.
Whichevery you're most interested in. Which for me would be history.
linguistics. Language shapes thought, and thought engenders meaning.
For me I would choose linguistics because it's infinitely more interesting. On the practical side, I don't know whether geology or linguistics would open up more job opportunities, but I'm pretty sure the history degree opens the fewest doors.
Geology and History. One studies human history. The other in a way, studies the history of the universe. marmet60
