No one forces them to go to a child's home for sex, Not much different than police posing as prostitutes to arrest men trying to pay for sex.

good point, and i am not debating that it is wrong of them to meet up with the underage girl/boy. what i question are two things: 1. the fact that the "perverted justice" "underage" person INITIATES the conversation, and 2. that the police even go through a tv show and a contracted group such as perverted justice to mete out justice.

ok but here is the distinction...is it their conduct ONLINE that truly traps them? or is it the fact that they went to MEET the person that traps them?

    Your point is valid.
Most of the answers here are 'i don't like paedophiles, therefore i don't care', which is, sorry, really stupid. And the show confuses justice with entertainment, so people can play out their petty hates.

If they weren't pedos there wouldn't be a problem, i mean even in the transcripts they converse at length about what they will do even when the decoy has made it clear they are under age. As soon as they see a figure under 18 they shouldve moved on or chatted appropriately

In all honesty mate, i couldnt give two turds for the rights of a paedophile. As far as i, my family and friends, to a person, are concerned they should be shot once proven guilty.

Though I am no legal professional, I believe the distinction comes from entrapment being about a violation that the person would be UNLIKELY to commit otherwise. Pedophiles obviously do not fall into this category, so it doesn't count. That's my best guess at least.

Pedos are scum of the earth, who cares if it is entrapment? They are lucky they get caught that way them by a parent ... If I caught one around my kid it's lights out, call the coroner because your gonna be dead in 2 minutes

true..i mean, going to a house to meet them is definitely their doing, and they are so in the wrong for that. i guess what im confused on is if it is illegal to even "cyber" with the underage people to begin with. say they never even met up with the person or exchanged pics..just spoke sexually to them.
