I believe God created evolution so things could adapt to an ever changing environment.

I think it's misleading to talk about "belief" given that the theory of evolution is so often discussed in opposition to religion. In a religious context the word "believe" takes on slightly different connotations.

It's a scientific theory. The most basic claims, that organisms change over the generations due to accumulated mutations, is really incontrovertible either scientifically or philosophically (if genes can change, and offspring inherit their parents' genes, then organisms must change). The idea of natural selection, that mutations which make an organism better-suited to its environment increase its chances of survival and reproduction and thus increase the population of evolved forms, makes perfect sense. The idea that all organisms are derived from a common ancestor follows logically from those observations. The evidence in the fossil record shows a continuity of evolving species whose dates support the hypothesis.

In short, the theory of evolution by natural selection is, for several reasons, more satisfactory to me than any other attempt to explain the same observations.

What do you find unconvincing about it? If it's a religious thing, personally I think the whole evolution-versus-religion conflict is a smokescreen cooked up by people who want to justify a literal reading of the Bible -- evolution doesn't disprove God, it just answers one more question that God used to be invoked as an answer to.

No. Not at all. Am a science guy. So , there is not question of doubting science. But I simply get awed by this diversity and design of life. Makes me wonder if this is evolution or design specific.
