the answer is more like, you can fix credit by earning more and buying more on credit and then paying it off, otherwise it would be easier to just try and fake a new idenity.

Only you can.. by consistently paying your debts on time for a few years and not racking up a lot of bad debt. To be honest though you're better off cutting up all your cards and getting used to paying cash. i do and it's MUCH easier.

The only way a hacker could do it would be to hack all 3 major credit reporting agencies plus anyone you have delinquent debt with and alter all those files. Its impossible. A new identity is an option but generally only if you are in the witness protection program. A debt that is untouched (you haven't made payments or spoken to the company) for 7 consecutive years will fall off of your credit report with the eception of taxes, student loans, child support, and certain legal judgements against you. Long story short... if you have old untouched debt that doesn't fit into the above catagories leave it alone. Pay off any newer debt even if its already delinquent. And if you do get a credit card and just charge 10 bucks 3 times a year on it and pay it off immediatly it will drastically improve your score. You must pay it on time and keep the balance low in relation to the limit. Fyi-I have an mba and work in the financial sector so this isn't my butt talking.
