That's just popper-ganda!
It was introduced to theaters as a cheap snack during the Great Depression, and the tradition stuck with us even after it ended.
Pop Corn is cheap to make- It is covered with salt which makes you thirsty. Thus wanting something to drink. Fountain drinks ( soda's) have a high profit margin item. So it is a win-win situation for the movie theaters.
the cold drink company
Whoever it was probably didn't realize how well nibs would go with it.
Orville Redenbacher probably had something to do with it! He and his evil popcorn empire!
Right? They seriously need to find something quieter. ;)
probably some terrorist Canadian who dislikes nachos
In all fairness, we probably are the next menace. Didn't you see Canadian Bacon?
strange brew too
Yeah well, in keeping with my original response to the question, even bacon would be quieter in theatres than popcorn. :)
We did when we purchased so much of it. The smell when you walk in does not hurt their sales either.
you have a better option?
good question i don't know but i like it :)
