Who do you blame when your child gets a referral?

Do you blame yourself, your child, other children, or the teacher?

Stray4life: A referral is a written note put in a child's file when they do things like hit other children, steal from another person, etc.

You need to hold your child responsible for his actions. But you should discuss it with him/her and find out what happened, why it happened, and what his part was in this incident. You can't go around blaming others for your choices and actions.

arkansaskat	Posted Oct 8th, 2009 at 9:43AM I have always tried to hold my children accountable for their actions and for their reactions.. I do the same to myself.. that being said.. while I hold them accountable I haven't always agreed with teachers and feel that children should be allowed to be children.. I think a lot of "rules" are a little overboard these days... who in their right mind thinks a child of 7 could do anything that would be sexual harassment? Get over the pc crap and just be good decent people with good decent intentions and raise your kids to be the same and take responsibility for your actions! Honestly! Rated: +3Vote for this!
