It isn't a gender issue. I've known men and women who are needy, not an attractive trait.

Both can be needy usually in slightly different ways. In my experience women need more compliments on their appearance. (You look beautiful today...etc.) Men need more compliments on their capabilities (great job mowing the grass, the lawn looks awesome.) Mostly it seems that bascially neither one wants to be taken for granted. Just my opinion.

Depends on the "need". lol. Personally, I believe all humans are needy to a point, male or female. The only difference really is that way we go about getting it. Men tend to need sex more (most of the time), women need love, a connection if you will.
But this is only my opinion & it could of course be wrong. Mahahahahaha!

Neither. I think they both have needs. some more than others depending on the individual. I do however think that the way they express needs, and sometimes what those needs(wants, likes, desires, wishes and hopes) are different.

i think it is a brave trait--more brave than me--i project with pride that i NEED no-one--and have the gall to be surprised what the results of that are......

We are all "needy" it just depends how we show it and how we control it.
Some show 'Neediness" when they don't know it and lose control and that's when its at its worst.

If your talking about people who need help with their lives,just look up your Government departments in the phone book,and see who has the most listings.As in refuges and other things.

I think males need it more, we tend to have insecurity's that we try to ignore but never really do. Its the whole makes you look weak concept.
