There's over a 50 percent chance of having a reaction to it, from a rash, swelling or hives at the injection spot to malaise, respiratory problems, itchy eyes, a fever, etc. It's all stated in the information sheet from the drug company they have to provide with information they gathered from studies blind studies done with the drug and a placebo.

What they're actually doing is giving you a small does of the flu along with the antibodies. It's very common for you to get the flu shortly after the shot but it won't be as severe this way your body can strengthen its immune system towards that particular strain.

The flu vaccine doesn't contain antibodies... your body has to make them itself against the inactivated antigen. It will contain an adjuvent to help provoke your immune response also.

I'm sorry. I hope you get better. Why don't they put you on different antibiotics?

The former National Institute of Health director James Shannon stated, "The only safe vaccine is the one that is never used."
George W. Bush stated; "I haven't got a flu shot and don't intend to."

Noone I know takes a flu shot, and most never get anything more than the common cold every now and then. It's a scam

This is what I thought, and it turns out I might have been right all these years avoiding it and denouncing it as well. Thought I'd try it for some reason. Won't happen again.

My mom usually does but we've found out that her immune system is pretty screwy, that, and she tends to wait to get her vaccination until flu season, so it might not even be the vaccine. It could just be a coincidence 'cause she doesn't time when she gets it very well at all.
I never get many symptoms, if at all. Sometimes I'm a little stuffy the next day but nothing major. I think it might be more psychological than an actual touch of the flu though.

It's definitely not psychological the way I'm feeling. I know psychosomatic symptoms when I see them.

I've heard that some people do, most likely just your immune response being very strong. I didn't.

Have only had the flu once. I think most people mistaken the common cold for the flu.

I know the flu you get a fever of usually 102 or higher. That's what I go by. (how to know whether it's a cold or the flu)
