Parents wouldn't let me own one so now I have a closet full of real ones
Haha no. Ones that fire bullets not pellets or bb's
The only gun I ever had as a child was a Super-Soaker, or its equivalent in 1967.
I went off and bought one with my allowance at 7, shooting at random stuff, and not birds of course ;P
My dad didn't get me one because I didn't take out the trash
Had one for a year or two; around age 50
Saw it in a catalog--target pistol and a target sort of like a dart board. Could shoot BBs if you wanted, but came with about a dozen tiny re-usable darts.
Yeah, but just got a dart board for my birthday.
I asked for one but was denied and honest to god my mom said it was because I would shoot my eye out ... this was early 70's ... Imagine my surprise when I saw that in a movie years later lol ... <br />
I did shoot a few bb guns though ... mostly in my cousins ba<x>sement shooting at homemade targets ... a richocet of one of those bb's caught my cousin near his eye and he had this big misquito type welt near his eye socket for days
