Of course there are non-verbal learners. There are several learning types from kinestetic to spacial to visual... The problem has been that for years educational institues have focused stirctly on one learning style and it has caused for a lot of brilliant kids not meeting their potential.

I am curious why you are asking this questions.

Learning by watching and or trial and error is pretty normal for a lot of people.

I've had dogs who were trained to hand signals.
