I would have to say my dad. He taught me that family always comes first, gave me a good work ethic, and taught me that forgiveness is possible even when you think it isn't. My parents divorced after 38 years of marriage and I was very angry at my mom. My dad told me over and over and over again that I had to hold on to that relationship. My dad has been gone for 4 years now, but the things he taught me will influence me for the rest of my life. I miss you daddy.

I've never been influenced by other people. Everything I've learned I learned myself, the hard way.

I'd have to say my mother.

By following her actions I learned not to pre-judge people. I learned that no matter how bad things may seem, they will get better. I also learned that I can do ANYTHING if I set my mind to it.

I guess I could easily say that she not only taught me, but really showed me that as a person, I am in charge of my own life - it will be whatever I make it.

My Husband.
I don't know how or when but somewhere along the line he has changed not only what I want out of life but also who I want in my life. I have never been happier and I can thank him for that.

I can't really say that there is just one person. I take the opportunity to learn and gain knowlege from all of my relationships with people. I am a people watcher, so that makes me very observant and I also listen a lot to others to give and gain knowlege for my own and others betterment. My life is a process of learning and I don't ever want to lose that:-)

My mom for letting me be me and not trying to change me to be more acceptable to polite society. She wanted me to respect and care for others but she saw no need for me to try to be like others. As a result I like who I am and do not worry when others think I am different. In fact I see that as a badge of honor.

The person who most influenced my life for the better is my boyfriend Chris. I never realized how little meaning I gave to my life until I met him and also never knew how to just appreciate life. Chris taught me how to be myself, not to do anything that I would be ashamed of later in life, and to love those around me who treat me like real family. I am thankful for him everyday and also on a more lighthearted matter, love him even more for showing me the way to metal!

Probably Porky Pig, I mean, he had to overcome a speech impediment to become a famous star. Even though he is a pig he has class. Think of it, a lowly pig who becomes a world famous star by sheer force of will. I learned a lot from Porky. And th- th- th- thats the tru tru tru a fact

That would probably be Thomas Edison. His inventions and discoveries pushed the boundaries of science and brought us into the modern age. Most of the conveniences that we take for granted today have stemmed from the works of this one man. Even if you want to say that it is only spriritual enlightenment that has influenced your life for the better, you still must recognize that the reason you have so much free time to devote to these pursuits is that Edison's inventions laid the ground work for you to have a more convenient life and the ability for us all to communicate so easily. Edison was the man...!

My college roommate.

He opened my eyes to worlds I didn't know existed. He taught me the art of small talk. He still teaches me things thirty years later.

When I was Young, and Still in School, it was My English Teacher. I had a Crush on Her, She was Beautiful to me in every way a Lady can be, from Her Voice, to Her Eyes, to even the sound of Her Feet, She Taught Me to Read and Write, and That I should Always Be True to Myself BEFORE I am True to Anyone Else. In the end I was Crushed to Learn that She was Married. I wished Them Both Well and Moved On. Later, It would be My Uncle Whom Taught Me to Be Strong, Stay -in-School and Graduate, I Followed His advice to a " T ", and Graduated. then It was the Military, I was Taught Honor, Duty, Committment, Tradition, Stability, What it Meant to Keep a job and Work it Too. and Now, It's Family and Being a DAD Myself, it's Leadership, Honor, Direction, Conviction, and an Undying Will to Be More of a FATHER to MY Children than My OWN DAD Was to ME. It's Understanding, Compassion, Reason, and Eliminating the Insanity of Family, I Figure the World is Insane Enough, My Family Shouldn't Be. I Challenge My Family and Myself to be all that They can BE, and I Expect the Same of Myself. I ask Nothing of anyone that I wouldn't ask of Myself, and When My Family is Troubled I Give them My Ears, Heart, Arms, Time, Me, So that They Do Not Have Any Question as to Do I Love them Or Not, because they Already know That to Them I Give All I Have and Possess, I Pledged, My Life to My Wife, so that Only Our Children Would Come Between Us, and So Far, We Have Held that Office to Each Other, and To Our Children. You Asked Me of My Influences, I Share with You The Greatest of Them All, Family, Country, Honor, Duty, and Above All Else, GOD Above, Amen.

This one is a little funny for me.

It was an ex, but not while I was with her. We had a almost flawless relationship, up to our breakup. And throughout that time I was crushed with depression, I wanted to die, I didn't care about my life at all. I wasn't trying hard enough in anything. Then I lost the one I loved, and I started to improve my life.

My eyes were opened at this moment, I strived for betterment and since then I have achieved it. My outlook on life was flipped upside down from this, in a good way. I can't fully explain how this happened, it just did. I wanted to be a better person for HER.. it was a little too late, but I did it for her all the same. I wanted her to see that I could be a better person than I was, that who I was then was just temporary and who I am now... is so much more. I did this in an attempt to win her back, in some ways, but in others I did it for myself too.

My Ex girlfriend. She taught me how to trust myself. She taught me how to look deep within a person and how to look deep within the world. I owe a great deal of happiness to her = )

Matilda.

She showed me that from even the worst start, it is possible to have a happy ending. For that, I shall eternally treasure her. :]
