Resolved Question

Who is the schoolar the teacher or the student that questions the concept?

Do you create or do you believe everything you read as gospil. Do you have your own theories about a subject and can you break free from the book and create your own book based on what you have learned? Who are you more like a leader or follower?

I don't believe that a person need be a leader or a follower. I'm sure I could write a book about what I have learned, but why would anyone read it? The path I walk is my own, perhaps everyone should write their own book, follow their own path. Sure compare and question one another, but don't deny anything. I thought for a while about there being a middle path, perhaps that isn't necessary though, why walk a path when you can trek through the barren land.

Here is where I lost my mind.

As a student of philosophy, I'm taught that there are no authorities and that everything I read or hear has to be relinquished through me first and then, if only it is a good match with my principles, beliefs and so on - I can accept it. I do have my own theories about things and I always accepts the possibility waywardness. So a book definitely is not an authority for me and I always, when an argument upraises, primarily question the concepts.
